About Faith
An enthusiastic and encouraging tutor who challenges students to grow mentally and socially. I work with families to create individual goals for lessons for students from 5th to 9th grade for their desired subject matter. Students will sharpen their skills, become clearer communicators, and build resilience in whatever I instruct. I seek to build confidence and abilities through engaging lessons that always include a challenge and words of encouragement.

I use more of a coaching approach when tutoring to help inspire kids to achieve goals they didn't think possible in a learning environment where they feel intellectually pushed to their limits but can also learn to laugh at themselves and try again.
Each session will appear as follows:
- Get to know you
- I will always ask a fun question like, "Would you rather
swim with sharks or go skydiving."
- Warmup
- These get the mind ready to learn and serve as
assessments to determine proficiency.
- Weekly Lesson
- All subjects offered are skill-based and will incorporate
1 to 2 new skills to learn per session.
- Assessment of skills learned
- This is a form of gamification. If students pass the brief,
engaging assessment, they will "level up" and receive a
new academic challenge to be ready to face during
the next session.
- Conclusion
- A time for any questions or concerns that the student
has
- Students will receive two academic affirmations and 1
intellectual challenge (this challenge is not a criticism,
rather an opportunity for growth)
