About Amy
I am a native Spanish speaker raised in the US and El Salvador. I became a certified bilingual teacher three years ago, but I have been teaching for five years at various elementary schools. During that time I've worked in South Korea and Cambodia teaching English as a Second Language for 3.5 years.
My passion is seeing students' growth throughout the course and showing them their improvement at the end, which makes them feel empowered and proud of themselves.

Language learning can be exciting and intimidating at the same time, which is why we will work in a relaxed environment where you can feel free to express yourself in Spanish while allowing yourself to make mistakes.My goal is to provide my students real-life opportunities to practice their Spanish speaking skills, which is why our classes will be conversation oriented.
In each session, we will talk about student's topics of interest and target areas, whether it's recreational Spanish or Spanish for work. We will also focus on everyday vocabulary and expressions to help you become a more efficient speaker. In addition, we will work on correcting common mistakes and improving pronunciation and intonation to help you sound like a native!
