About Andie
I’ve spent the last 7 years as a certified Special Education teacher doing what I love most: helping students discover that they are capable of incredible things. I truly believe that every single child has the ability to learn and succeed—they just need the right strategies, encouragement, and a teacher who believes in them.
For me, tutoring isn't just about worksheets; it's about connection. I take the time to really get to know my students and find our common ground. Whether it’s talking about our favorite pets, sharing a love for the outdoors, or tapping into a child's unique personal interests, I weave those passions directly into our lessons to make reading and math engaging and relevant.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me spending time outdoors or hanging out with my pets. That same patient, grounded energy is what I bring to every tutoring session.
Learning should be a journey filled with celebration, not stress. I love celebrating every win with my students—no matter how big or small—to help them build the self-belief they need to thrive. Hi, I’m Mrs. Ryab! I am a certified Special Education teacher with 7 years of classroom experience specializing in K-5 reading, elementary math, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL).
Every student learns differently—especially neurodivergent learners, children with ADHD, or those with high support needs. My goal in every lesson is to take the frustration out of learning and help your child build real confidence and independence.
What My Lessons Look Like:
• Multi-Sensory & Interactive: I don't rely on boring lectures. I use visual aids, hands-on digital tools, and active learning strategies tailored to how your child's brain works best.
• Structured for Focus & ADHD: I break down complex reading and math concepts into small, digestible steps. We use movement breaks, visual timers, and positive reinforcement to keep energy and focus high.
• Targeted Skill Building: Whether we are working on phonics, reading comprehension, foundational math concepts, or executive functioning/SEL strategies, every session is personalized to meet your child where they are.
• Safe & Supportive Space: I prioritize patience above all else. Mistakes are welcomed as part of learning, and I celebrate every victory, big or small.
