About Amanda
My name is Amanda Ellis and I am a biology, personal finance and math teacher in Monroe Washington with a Masters Degree in Secondary Biology Education. My teaching philosophy is to start building on students strengths in a subject area to develop their confidence and sense of success. Once students begin to feel their understanding increase, they start to enjoy the learning process and are willing to challenge themselves to understand more.
I believe the learning needs of every student is unique, and it is my job as an educator to adapt my teaching style to them and not expect them to adapt to me. This allows students to process new and challenging content in a form that draws on their strengths as learners and master previously challenging concepts.
I look forward to the opportunity to support your student on their path of learning.
