He was a really good teacher: I became more fluent in speaking and learn new expressions (especially those more informal) without me feeling like I was in a traditional scholastic lesson. A year into his GCSE course, my son was predicted a D or even an E grade and was struggling hugely . He needed some help to go over the basics and to start to develop his confidence that it was not too late and that he could still achieve a pass grade.
