About Elizabeth

I recently graduated in French and Italian from the University of Bristol. Learning other languages has made me more aware of the difficulties of learning other languages and inspired me to teach my mother tongue. During the CELTA course, I learnt different ways to make learning fun! I really enjoy teaching!

About the lesson

Most of my classes will have a focus on conversation and fluency as this is the one skill that is practically impossible to do alone. I will let the student chose a topic that they are interested in and then we can discuss/debate about it. During the conversation, if the student makes the same grammar mistakes then we can go over this in another lesson or at the end of the lesson if there is time. Conversing is also a great way to acquire lots of new vocabulary and expressions. If the student is learning English to pass an exam such as IELTS or the Cambridge exams then we can focus on this. Students can also send me written work in advance for me to correct and go through in the lesson. If the student wants to focus on business English then we can also focus on this by discussing specific expressions, how to converse via phone and email and how to deliver a presentation. Ultimately, lessons depend on the student’s ability and what they want to focus on. The first lesson is free as a trial lesson and to discuss how to cater the lesson to the student’s needs.

Perfect! Elizabeth is a great teacher. What I want to emphasise here is that she enables her students to speak happily during her lesson. She also has CELTA certificate and provides a good way to learn English along with her students interest. I do recommend you to take her lesson!

I have been attending her classess for a while, at school and online...i d strongly suggest her for her remarkable commitment but also for her natural feature which allows her to take care of her students differently from how other teacher might do.Moreover,she has a knowledge of other languages and this allows her to understand the needs of some foreign speakers.

Elizabeth is the best English teacher I've ever dealt with. It might seem minor but her accent is really clear and understandable. Plus she's really patient and understanding towards non-native speakers being a language learner herself. She's so passionate and cheerful that her lessons are like a chat with a friend. Overall I'd definitely recommend the experience.
