About Doug
I was a teacher of English, music and technology for 17 years in California and China. Schools in California were multicultural, multilingual and international. I was a popular and entertaining teacher who helped English students with no language skills to succeed quickly. I was just as popular in China among university students, private adult learners such as CEOs, business leaders, business owners, staff managers, and young private learners in one-on-one meetings. in groups. This has helped inspire learners with fun lessons that quickly improve English skills. I have been an English, as well as music - and - technology teacher for 17 years, both in California and China. The schools in California were multicultural, multilingual and international. I was very popular and helped with ESL students. I was also popular in China, among university students, k-12 students, and private adult learners as a CEO, company director, business owner, personal manager and private young learners one-on-one and in groups. My CELTA-based methodology is to encourage students to speak more than I do during the lesson, while achieving the desired result with each carefully crafted lesson plan. For every hour I teach, I spend at least several hours preparing each lesson. I prefer that learners use English during the lesson more than they listen to me speak. The purpose of each lesson, and my teaching method, is to encourage and inspire the learner's confidence by advancing it in the process of each lesson.
