About Sakina
Having a mother who has been in the educational industry for 25 years, I do realize how important teaching is. They are the backbone of our society and civilization. A good teacher can change lives and worlds.
And growing up, seeing my mother do that, I know for a fact that I want to make a difference in this world by educating students. With my experience of four years with a huge range of students, I know that I can understand how to approach a student and be able to teach them in the most efficient way.
I have also worked for two years in the creative education industry as a camp teacher and also starting a business to teach students drawing, so I am able to teach a variety of subjects and use variety of subjects to engage a child in their lesson.

I start with analyzing a student and understanding the unique approach I would take to help the student academically. I will try to also bond with the students so that they feel comfortable around me and are not shy to raise questions or ask doubts regarding their lesson. I will try to create a safe environment for them.
During a lesson, I always start with explaining the topic to them as they will start to understand it. If they are stuck on any topic on the way, I would be patient and teach them again using a different approach so that they can understand it.
I will also use the approach of using exercises and challenges to engage the student to the lesson as well as expanding their thinking. Lastly, at the end of the class, I ask my students if they have any doubts regarding the lesson and would be more than happy to clear them out.
The length of my classes are typically one hour.
I have a 4 year experience as a tutor, assistant tutor, camp teacher with primary students ranging from lower kindergarten to Year 6. (age 4 to age 10)
