I taught with Emily for several years. She is kind, compassionate, spontaneous and such a fun teacher. On any given day, you could find her greeting students first thing in the morning with a microphone in hand belting out a song as they made their way to class. Her goal was not only to ensure students received the reading skills they needed to be successful in school, but also receive the things they needed to be successful in life. She started and organized a clothes closet at school that housed clothing, snacks, school supplies and hygiene products for students in need. She knew if those basic needs weren't met, students’ performance in the classroom would suffer as well. Emily loves her students, makes learning fun, and is the first one cheering them on to success.

Emily worked in my department and did a wonderful job working with our students. She was able to work with them on their educational level and help them reach their educational goals.
