About Cadence
Hi! I'm Cadence Lee. I'm a freshman in college, and just graduated in the top 50 of my senior class at Burbank High School. I've been performing since age 6, and have completed 12 levels of Certificate of Merit (California State Piano Program) and have soloed in both my middle school and high school show choirs. I am a jack of many trades, but I mostly focus on science, literature, and theatre, and would love to share and teach my passion for any of them, maybe even in a joint lesson. I got a 1500 on my SAT, a 34 on my ACT with perfect scores in writing/English. I'd love the opportunity to work with K-12 graders, to help them improve their skills either in the performing or academic setting.

I've been singing for over 13 years, and I've had lots of coaching myself, from my voice/piano teacher Joyce Warman, and from my mother who teaches show-choir as her profession. I'm very experienced in musical theatre and show choir, and I'd love to share my passion for music with other people. I am far from a professional singer, so my course would be for people probably high school and younger, for a general understanding of music theory, singing, and combating stage fright. A typical lesson would probably be a quick 5 minute discussion about what the student hopes to get out of the lesson, 5 minute warmup, 35 minutes of singing/performance/coaching, and then 15 minutes of basic skills like sight-singing and music theory to improve musical literacy which works hand in hand to make better singers.
