About Anastasia

I am a second-year student at the University of Cambridge, where I am doing a psychology degree with several natural sciences papers. As I enjoy biology, and both Tripos are very biology-heavy, I have developed my knowledge beyond A-Level biology, in which I obtained an A*. I was part of the first cohort to sit the new linear A-Level course, and as such have an intimate practical understanding not only of the course but also of the aspects of the previous course that were still useful and relevant. Having a younger sister, I am very practised in explaining concepts as well as exam strategy.

About the lesson

I offer lessons in biology up to university level.
I would approach lessons by asking the student what they feel they want to gain or focus on prior to the lesson, which ensures the best use of our time by focusing on the areas the student feels they need extra help with. During the lesson, I would use a variety of methods to illustrate concepts, such as powerpoint presentations, drawing graphs, or even interactive methods such as Kahoot quizzes for group classes. At the end, there would be a summary, and we would decide the topic to focus on for the next lesson.
Of course, I would be very happy to help with any school assignments/homework by prompting and leading the students to reach the right answers on their own.

Beth

Anastasia is amazing at Biology and Chemistry and at school when anyone had any problems she was the first one they asked for help. Biochemistry is Anastasia's speciality and her enthusiasm and authenticity means she's a great teacher.
