About Sophia

I’m a current maths student at the University of Cambridge, so I’m super passionate about all things maths - including teaching it! I have 5 years of tutoring experience and have tutored students from primary school to sixth-form, including (I)GCSE, A-levels and IB. At secondary school, I founded a Maths Olympiad club, and also volunteered as a maths tutor for underprivileged children.

About the lesson

I believe that every student’s learning style is unique and equally worthy of understanding. I take time to get to know each student and develop teaching strategies that are best suited to their individual needs. Depending on the student’s goals, I may plan a structured course of lessons, and/or cover specific topics upon request. All lessons are delivered online, using iPad screenshare as a whiteboard.

Sophia helped my daughter with her gcse maths via zoom lesson, as she is in London and we live in Hong Kong.
She has helped my daughter take her exam as her school selected small number of students in her year to take gcse maths exam one year earlier.
She provided excellent quality of learning material, and prepared well for each lessons, and even provided support outside lesson hours. She gave an update to myself on my daughter’s progress which I appreciate.
