I have been tutoring and teaching for years and a great thing about me is that I love Spanish. Knowing this language has changed my life, brought me a world of new opportunities and enriched just about everything. I adore my subject and my goal above all is to help you to love it to.

About the lesson

Hi future students! My name is Florrie, I am from the UK but I have spent a lot of my life in beautiful Mexico.

I have been teaching Spanish since 2014 to students of various levels and ages. Whether its exam nerves or just learning for pleasure, I can offer you a relaxed and effective option.

I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree and an MA in Modern and Medieval Languages, specialising in Spanish and Latin American studies. I have also been living in Mexico for the last seven years, so I know myself what it is to be a language learner and which strategies work the best when it comes down to real life interactions in the language you are learning.

At home, we just speak Spanish and the advantage of also being a native English speaker is that I am able to understand the difficulties of how both languages interact. I can also explain concepts in a clear way both in English and Spanish.

I've had my fair share of embarrassing language learning moments so I like to keep a relaxed atmosphere in my classes. Language learning should above all be fun and a source of pleasure, as well as being functional rather than purely based on books and endless repetition.
