About Teresa
***Every student gets free access to an online English conversation course.***
I teach adults and children of different ages and levels. My lessons are friendly and relaxed, but we always have a clear goal.
We usually spend a lot of time speaking. I use interesting and useful materials, including short videos made for native English speakers. This helps you hear how English is really used in everyday life. Many of my students say they really enjoy these materials.
Every five lessons, we look at your progress together. We can then change your learning plan if your goals or needs have changed.
I particularly enjoy helping intermediate and advanced learners become more confident and independent English speakers, while also helping younger learners build strong communication skills and confidence in English.

I believe that you can make a lot of progress between lessons, too. I will give you ideas for things you can do at home to practise your English. I can recommend videos, websites and other activities to help you continue learning.
My aim is not only to help you during our lessons. I also want to help you become a more confident English learner who knows how to continue improving.

If you complete a short questionnaire before the lesson, we will have more time to practise English together.
After the trial lesson, I will give you a personalised four-week study plan with useful ideas for your English practice.
IELTS Speaking
If you are preparing for IELTS, your trial lesson can include a full IELTS Speaking mock test.
You will receive detailed feedback about your speaking, including your fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I will also give you a personalised five-lesson plan based on your target IELTS band score.
