About Thierry
Hi everyone!
My name is Thierry, I'm 32 and I am from Le Havre. Living mostly abroad since 2012, I've worked in the USA, the UK, Germany, Canada, and Ireland.
While most of my experience has been in tech, I have also obtained my CELTA (Certificate of teaching English as a foreign language), teaching in Ireland to adult learners from various backgrounds. I've really enjoyed that experience, which provided me with solid teaching foundations.
I believe that my uncommon background, perfecting my English skills "on the ground" is an asset for my teaching practice, helping me relate to students and their potential struggles more than a native speaker would. I've gone through the usual tests: IELTS, TOEIC, and TOEFL, and am very familiar with their structure and challenges as a result

My teaching relies on catering to the specific goals of my students. I don't have template courses that I teach everyone: Every course is tailored and I strive to provide actionable, measurable results.
I believe learning should be fun and stress-free, and try my best to teach accordingly. Some of my favorite topics to incorporate in lessons are:

Perfect! Une superbe expérience avec Thierry. Professeur qui est à l'écoute de l’élève et qui m'as beaucoup aidé . Grâce à Thierry j'ai réussi à progresser et à surmonter certaines difficultés. Ce qui est très sympa c'est le fait de faire nos cours sur nos centres d’intérêts, ce qui donne envie d'apprendre. J'ai adoré ces cours et Thierry m'as apporté une grande aide et je l'en remercie.
Perfect! Thierry est une personne très à l'écoute des demandes et des problèmes demandées. C'est une personne très disponible et très investie. J'ai beaucoup progressé en quelques mois !
