About Victor
I am an Applied Physics PhD student at Caltech and a graduate of the Department of Physics at Tsinghua University. I also have extensive physics competition experience, including ranking around 140th nationally in the Chinese Physics Olympiad (CPhO).
I have a strong background in physics, mathematics, and problem solving, from high-school competition level through advanced university coursework. I enjoy helping students understand the underlying ideas behind difficult problems rather than simply memorizing formulas. I can teach in both English and Chinese and work with students preparing for AP Physics, college physics, mathematics, and physics competitions.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, with an emphasis on understanding rather than memorizing formulas. I teach AP Physics 1 and C, college physics, mechanics, electromagnetism, mathematics, probability, and physics competition preparation.
My background includes physics training at Tsinghua University, doctoral study in Applied Physics at Caltech, and experience in the Chinese Physics Olympiad. I can help with coursework, exam preparation, challenging problem solving, or building a stronger foundation for advanced physics. Lessons are available in English or Chinese.
