About Justin
I am a passionate Drum tutor with over 9 years of experience teaching college students who want to improve rhythm skills and musical confidence. My goal is to help students understand drums clearly while enjoying the learning process. My teaching style is creative, patient, and well-structured. I believe drumming is not only about speed but about control, timing, and musical feel.
I explain concepts in simple steps and guide students through focused practice. I use innovative methods such as groove layering exercises, tempo accuracy drills, and limb coordination training. I also include song-based learning and play-along practice so students can apply skills in real musical situations. Accountability is an important part of my lessons.
I create clear practice routines and set achievable goals for each student. Regular feedback helps students stay motivated and disciplined. Along with drum performance, I also teach rhythm reading, basic music theory, beat structure, and performance preparation. My lessons are interactive, supportive, and focused on steady improvement.

As a critical thinker and mentor, I help students understand rhythm clearly. Timing, coordination, and technique are explained step by step in simple language. Students are guided to think independently and improve their musical awareness.
Accountability is maintained through clear practice goals and regular progress reviews. I provide structured practice routines and support students in staying consistent and disciplined.
Along with drums, I also teach basic music theory, rhythm reading, tempo control, and performance basics. My goal is to help students become confident, creative, and responsible drummers.
