About Raquel
I am an aspiring teacher looking to enter a new career position more geared towards my personal career growth. Currently, I am a senior history major graduating from California State University Long Beach. I obtained my associate's for transfer from College of the Canyons at the end of
2018 and currently hold a 3.8 GPA.
Fortunately, I have gained lots of experience to guide me through this new adventure at all of my previous
jobs. With over five years of experience in providing excellent customer service and remaining a
motivated team player in high-stress environments, I have learned to be a supportive and effective
communicator. I have been a lead trainer and manager at some of my previous jobs in the last five years. Most importantly, my classroom experience allows me to be confident in managing a learning environment while encouraging positive growth for each student.

I believe patience is key. Every student is different. I teach by adjusting my method to address all my students' unique learning styles. Also, I believe in teaching time and stress management skills, so I always try to inspire grit instead of outright solving the problem. I believe this helps each individual develop critical thinking skills to solve questions.
