I’m Keith Mcniven, founder of Zone Body Fit, and a former British & English National Champion helping busy men and women get lean, strong, and increase lean muscle.

I specialise in personal training that delivers real results — whether that’s losing body fat, building muscle, or completely transforming your physique.

  • What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

    I started playing sports when i was 14 years old. I wasn't very active and needed to lose weight and I was looking for a fun way to get fit, and make new friends.
  • What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

    I found olympic style wrestling and eventually started to compete at a high level before retirement. I also really enjoy boxing in which I practice for fun a few times a week which keeps me fit. I'm also a fan of football and would like to start playing regular 5 a side games.
  • What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

    I have always had a passion for fitness and i love sharing my experience with others and watching them achieve their goals.
  • Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

    Yes, I am a former British and English national champion in freestyle wrestling.
  • How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

    My achievements and challenges have made me a better person due to discipline and developing a determination to reach all of my goals even with setbacks. All my challenges have been a great lesson in life and made me the person i am today.
  • If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

    I would choose Francis Ngannou as his story is extremely interesting and i would ask him what has kept him motivated in the most challenging times of his journey, and what has been the highlight of his career so far.
  • How do you help people stay motivated?

    I keep people motivated with encouragement and support and showing a clear plan on how to reach their goals.
  • What makes you a Superprof in sports?

    My Determination, experience, and knowledge and the fact im always willing to learn new things and pushing for excellence. I'm also a compassionate person who understands everybody is different and what works for one person might not work for another.
