About Elena
Hi! My name is Elena, and I am an Elementary Education student with a passion for working with children and helping them grow as learners. As a bilingual tutor, I am excited to share my Spanish language skills with students in a fun and welcoming environment. I have experience working with children in classroom settings and understand the importance of making lessons engaging, age-appropriate, and comfortable for each student.
I believe children learn best when they feel supported and are encouraged to participate without being afraid of making mistakes. My goal is to help every student build confidence in Spanish while developing practical language skills they can use in everyday life. I bring patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to each lesson and take the time to adjust my teaching approach to each student's individual needs and learning style.

I use a fun, interactive, and student-centered approach to teaching Spanish. Because I work with children, I focus on keeping lessons engaging through games, movement, visuals, conversation, and activities rather than relying heavily on worksheets or memorization. I introduce new vocabulary in small amounts and give students plenty of opportunities to practice it through repetition and real-life situations. I also adjust my teaching style based on each child’s age, developmental level, interests, and learning pace.
Each lesson is about 30–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs. We usually begin with a short review of vocabulary from previous lessons before introducing a new topic. We then practice the new vocabulary through interactive activities, games, and simple conversations. I like to incorporate movement and visual activities, especially with younger students, to help them stay focused and remember what they learn. We finish each lesson with a fun review game or activity so the student can demonstrate what they learned.
As a bilingual student studying Elementary Education, I have a strong interest in working with children and understanding how they learn best. I combine my Spanish skills with what I am learning about child development and education to create lessons that are both educational and enjoyable. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where children feel excited to participate and aren't afraid to make mistakes.
My lessons are designed primarily for children who are beginning to learn Spanish or have little to no prior experience with the language. I work especially well with elementary-aged students and can adapt lessons for children who may need additional repetition, movement, visual support, or a slower pace. Lessons can focus on basic conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and building confidence in Spanish.
