About Emma

Hello, my name is Emma. I am a 24 year old teaching assistant for Year 2 students at Cambridge International School in Bratislava. I’m Slovak, however, I grew up in England, so I consider English my native language. I have got eight years of experience teaching English to both children and adults through different types of English lessons. I have also taught children English through summer camps or babysitting, where we communicated entirely in English only. I especially enjoy teaching through communication, helping to build confidence in speaking in a natural and supportive way. In my spare time I like to do sports (gym, running, swimming, roller skating) as well as stay creative through art.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I focus on communication, using real-life scenarios to practice speaking or even just having a friendly chat. I believe speaking at any level is key to mastering a language. Chatting together without any embarrassment of making mistakes to build confidence and naturally learn the language. So, if you want to improve your English and boost your confidence in a friendly and supportive environment, I’m here to help. Whether you’re a beginner or want to perfect your conversation skills, my goal is to make our lessons relaxed and effective. I’ll make sure you feel comfortable using English in everyday life!
