About Jack
I am a qualified science teacher and First Class Biochemistry graduate from the University of Hull with over 1000 hours of tutoring experience. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of all abilities, from those looking to build confidence in the subject to those aiming for the highest grades at GCSE and A-Level.
Biology is a subject I am particularly passionate about because it helps us understand the living world around us, from cells and genetics to human physiology and ecosystems. My goal is to help students move beyond memorisation and develop a genuine understanding of biological concepts so they can confidently tackle exam questions and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar situations.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and focus on building subject knowledge, improving exam technique, and developing confidence. Using exam-board specific questions, past papers, and mark schemes, I help students maximise their marks and achieve their academic goals.

My Biology lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and designed to build both understanding and confidence. Whether you are aiming to improve your grades, strengthen your knowledge, or prepare for upcoming exams, lessons will be adapted to your goals.
I focus on helping students understand biological processes and concepts rather than simply memorising facts. Through clear explanations, diagrams, and exam-style questions, I help students develop the deeper understanding needed to tackle application and data analysis questions confidently.
Lessons typically include a mixture of content review, retrieval practice, and exam-board specific questions. We will regularly use past papers and mark schemes to improve exam technique and ensure you understand exactly how marks are awarded.
My aim is to make Biology engaging, manageable, and accessible while helping students maximise their exam performance.
