About Siobhan

My name is Siobhan (Shivon); I am from Ireland but have lived near London most of my life. I am a mother to a son and daughter and have worked with children throughout the schooling system for the past eighteen years. Working with children brings me immense joy, especially helping to break down the barriers they have to certain elements of learning. I have many quick tips and strategies to make the learning fun and understandable, often using a hands on approach with fun activities and resources. I meet the child at the level they are working at and ensure the learning is at their pace, so they feel comfortable, before raising the bar to ensure progress is made. My priority is to make the elements of learning enjoyable for the child with lots of games, puzzles and quizzes so they look forward to the sessions and leave with a sense of achievement. It is important to me that the child takes away knowledge they did not have at the beginning, and a sense of pride in their ability. I specialise in students with additional challenges such as ADHD and Dyslexia but all students are welcome! Send me a message today and I will be in touch within 24 hours. About the lesson

Before tuition begins, I carry out an initial assessment in the specific area(s) where support is required. This enables me to identify precise gaps, set focused targets, and plan sessions that build confidence, measurable progress, and a genuine sense of achievement. Standard sessions are 60 minutes.

I offer tuition in English (from early phonics through to English Literature), as well as Primary Maths and Science.

As a former Head of Inclusion in both the UK and the Middle East, I specialise in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Dyslexia and ADHD, across all subjects from Early Years to Year 6. Sessions are carefully adapted to suit each learner’s individual profile, regardless of need. Where appropriate, a short Sensory Circuit can be incorporated at the beginning of a lesson to support regulation and readiness to learn.

A complimentary 30-minute meet-and-greet call is available upon request as an introduction to discuss your child’s needs and ensure we are a good fit. Please note that any session extending beyond this time will be charged at my standard rate.
