About Sidrah

I am a British qualified teacher with over 8 years of experience supporting students in secondary education across the UK and the UAE. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in ICT (1st class honors) and a PGCE in Computer Science, both from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK). I have experience working with students across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop confidence and improve their academic performance.

I enjoy helping students understand subjects they often find challenging and watching their confidence grow over time. I am particularly passionate about supporting students in English because strong reading and writing skills are essential for success across all subjects and future opportunities.

Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of learners with different abilities and learning styles. This has helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and supportive teaching approach that ensures every student can make progress and feel confident in their abilities.

I am now offering online tutoring to support students outside the classroom, providing more personalized attention and focused exam preparation to help them reach their full potential in English.

About the lesson

My lessons are delivered online in a clear, structured, and supportive way. I adapt each session to the student’s needs, whether they require help catching up, preparing for exams, or developing stronger reading and writing skills. I focus on breaking down concepts into simple steps and ensuring students fully understand key skills before moving on.

I regularly support students with topics such as:
- Reading comprehension and understanding different types of texts
- Writing skills, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Vocabulary development and sentence structure
- Exam preparation and revision techniques
- Homework and coursework support

I create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students develop confidence in their communication and independent learning skills.

Lessons are conducted online, and I provide clear explanations, practice activities, and feedback to support continued improvement.

I offer an initial free session to assess the student’s needs and create a personalised learning plan.
