About Oceana
As a British-born individual who achieved First Class Honours in my undergraduate biology degree, I have a profound passion for biology and a sincere desire to impart my knowledge to others. My journey into tutoring stems from a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of education.
Having spent two years tutoring GCSE and A-Level biology, I've experienced firsthand the joy of seeing students grasp complex concepts and excel in their studies. It's immensely fulfilling to witness their growth and progress, knowing that I've played a role in their academic journey.
For me, teaching is more than just conveying information; it's about nurturing critical thinking skills, fostering curiosity, and instilling a lifelong love for learning. I believe that education should empower students to succeed not only academically but also in their personal and professional lives.

My tutoring approach at the KS4 and KS5 level centres on building a robust foundation in biology that fosters both understanding and application. My emphasis is on fostering critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities, empowering students to confidently tackle any challenge they encounter in their coursework or exams. I incorporate real world examples and practical applications to demonstrate the relevance of biology in everyday life, enhancing students' comprehension and appreciation of the subject.
