About Brian
I’m a software consultant with a lifelong interest in technology, first sparked by my love of audio and music technology. Although software is my full-time profession, I’m grateful that my work often blurs the line between labor and enjoyment.
My teaching style is patient, positive, and practical. I believe people learn best when they feel encouraged and free to ask questions without judgment. I also try to recognize that different people & think learn in different ways.
As someone who grew up as a neurodiverse student, I know how important kindness, clarity, and flexibility can be in a learning environment - so I try to bring these qualities into every lesson.

I believe the best place to start is with what the student is already curious about. From there, I create a learning plan around their interests, combining the fundamentals with practical examples from the beginning.
My lessons are aimed at complete beginners who want to understand IT, software engineering, privacy, regulation, or how these areas connect. This could suit someone exploring a new career path, trying to become more confident with technology, or simply wanting to understand enough to support their current work.
I have spent 13 years working as a software consultant across a wide range of technology projects. I can help make technical concepts easier to understand, explain how real software projects work, and show how topics like privacy, compliance, and AI governance fit into the bigger picture.
Lessons are usually one hour. The first session is a discovery session where we discuss your interests, your goals, and the most useful route forward. You will come away with a clear starting point, whether or not you choose to book another lesson.
