About Emma

My name is Emma and I was born in Sydney and grew up on the beautiful Gold Coast. I moved to France when I was 17 without knowing a word of French, so I know how hard it is to move to a new country and learn a new language!

I spent two years in France, seven years in Switzerland (in the French and German parts) and then six years in Barcelona, Spain. I speak French, Spanish and a bit of Italian. I love music festivals, reading, baking, hiking and skiing. I also love meeting people from around the world and learning about them and their culture. I'm currently studying my master's in counselling and hope to work in that field one day.

I've been teaching for over twelve years and really love my job. Seeing my students improve and gain confidence is very enriching, as well as very enjoyable. Although I have years of experience teaching group classes in language schools, I must admit that my favourite kind of lessons are one-on-one classes. Having private lessons involves a certain level of trust and confidence, as well as the ability to have fun - I want you to look forward to your English classes, not get stressed about them!

About the lesson

I've been teaching English for over 12 years and really believe that, above all, confidence and practice are what you will need to speak like a native. I've taught adults of all ages and backgrounds, helping them with General English, Business English and exam preparation.

I make my classes fun and enjoyable and focus on conversation - I want you to be speaking as much as possible! You'll see that the time will fly by and you'll learn so much in a relaxed atmosphere.

As the lessons are private, I can adapt to your needs, focusing on the areas that you'd like to improve most.
