About Lucy

Hello! I’m Lucy, a dedicated and friendly tutor currently studying Biomedicine at university. With a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed, I provide personalised tutoring in GCSE Mathematics. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and accessible, helping students build both their knowledge and their confidence. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to adapt my teaching style to meet individual needs—whether that’s breaking down complex topics, using real-world examples, or practising exam techniques. I’m professional, reliable, and always fully prepared for each lesson, making sure students get the most out of every session. Having experience in both academic settings and customer-facing roles, I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to my lessons. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, catching up, or just need a little extra support, I’m here to help you achieve your goals.

As a passionate and patient tutor, I focus on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and challenge themselves. My teaching style is adaptable to each individual—I take time to understand how my students learn best and tailor lessons to suit their needs, whether that's through visual aids, practical examples, or breaking down complex topics into simpler steps. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, giving us enough time to cover key material, work through questions together, and check understanding with short recap activities. I often provide extra practice tasks for students to work on between sessions, especially if they’re preparing for exams. I enjoy helping younger students (KS3) build strong foundations in science and maths, especially if they need a confidence boost or prefer a more friendly, relatable teaching style.
