About Irina

I’m a Bachelor of Biomedicine (Hons) graduate from the University of Melbourne, majoring in Neuroscience and Pathology with First Class Honours. I have been tutoring Year 7 - 13 Maths and Science for 5+ years now, including IGCSE/SPM and pre-uni courses such as IB and A-Levels. All my classes are strictly online-based, and the student will be able to see my whiteboard while I explain concepts during the class.

Regarding pre-uni academic qualifications, I completed Biology at A-levels & did Triple Science in IGCSEs, of which I got all A*s. I have experience studying for these subjects and thus I know the required tips and tricks to help you reach your target grade.

About the lesson

My teaching style is very interactive; I don't lecture for 2 hours straight, but rather I discuss the material with you in a way that is engaging and makes you think.

Our lessons will put a strong emphasis on understanding, rather than memorisation. This way, you will be able to apply your knowledge confidently in your exams no matter how the examiners twist and turn the content!

My lessons are usually 1.5-2 hours. I am an experienced tutor with 5+ years of experience in private tutoring from primary school level to A-Level Biology. My classes are for individuals and small groups of similar year group levels. Fees are based on year group level of the student (flat rate for lower secondary, IGCSE students, A-Level students, etc.) and can be negotiated.

I only do classes online via Zoom/Discord, but the student will be able to see my whiteboard as I take notes during the class.
