About Humd Fatema

Hi, my name is Fatema and I can help build up your confidence in GCSE biology and chemistry, as well as KS3 students.

I understand how difficult some topics can be so I aim to be approachable and encouraging, and I believe that creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions and learn from their mistakes is an important part of making progress. I aim to help every student feel more confident and independent in their learning.

Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for exams or strengthening their existing knowledge, I will work with them at their own pace and provide the support they need to achieve their goals.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching

My approach to tutoring is centred around making students feel comfortable, supported and confident in their learning. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my explanations and teaching methods according to their individual needs and level.

I use a combination of clear explanations, worked examples, questioning and practice activities to help students understand topics rather than simply memorising information. My lessons can be taught using any textbook/website the student feels comfortable with. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes, as this helps identify areas that need further attention. I also regularly check their understanding throughout the lesson and adjust the pace where necessary.

Lessons typically last around 60 minutes, although I am happy to adapt the length depending on the student’s age, ability and requirements.

I have strong academic experience in Biology and chemistry, and can confidently explain challenging concepts in a clear and accessible way. I have also developed my communication and teamwork skills through my academic studies and experiences supporting others with their learning.

My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary school students / GCSE students. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students can build both their subject knowledge and confidence.
