About Yasmin

My name is Yasmin and I am a university student, studying to get my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science degree. I am working towards my goal of going to medical school and being able to help people every day. Outside of school, I enjoy playing the piano, cooking and baking, volunteering, and travel. In fact, I love volunteering and travel so much, that I participate in Medical Brigades, where a team of volunteers go to countries in need of medical services. I love working with different people, and I truly enjoy making new connections. Teaching has always been my passion, and I would be grateful to have the chance to teach you!

About the lesson

I focus on helping students truly understand chemistry instead of just memorizing formulas. I use clear explanations, examples, and practice problems to make topics like reactions, calculations, and bonding easier to understand. Each lesson starts by checking what the student already knows and where they need help, so I can focus on the right areas. Lessons may include reviewing homework, explaining difficult concepts, and solving practice questions together. What makes me different is my patience, experience, and ability to explain chemistry in a simple way. I have been tutoring since grade 9 and adjust my teaching style to fit each student’s needs and pace. My lessons are for students who need help with schoolwork, want to improve their grades, or are preparing for tests and exams.
