About Kaylee
Kaya, I'm Kaylee, an Indigenous undergraduate uni student located in Perth. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science in Pharmacology & Toxicology and Conservation and Wildlife Biology. My goal is to eventually work in a research position where I can incorporate my love for science with my family's Indigenous culture.
As part of my academic journey in conservation and wildlife biology, I actively take part in field-based research to deepen my understanding beyond the classroom. I'm currently involved in wildlife conservation work in Madagascar, where I study biodiversity and ecosystem health in tropical environments. Experiences like this let me connect theory to practice, building a strong foundation for a future career in biological research and conservation.
I am currently completing a research project characterising the cellular composition and transcriptional landscape of human burn blister fluid.
I achieved full colours in high school and received the ECU STEM Award for mathematics methods. On top of this, I am a recipient of both the Murdoch Univeristy Ngala Kwop Biddi Brighter Futures Scholarship and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering's Boosting Diversity in STEM Scholarship.
I would be more than happy to assist students in applying for scholarships themselves.

Sessions are online using google meet. We will use an online cooperative whiteboard where we will do a variety of activities including practice questions and brainstorms.
There is a mandatory fee-free introduction session. This is a session where we make introductions and discuss our overall goals with tutoring.
These sessions vary in length, but are normally only about 30 minutes.
