About Nursen

I am a Science teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years. I am also running my own tutoring company. I graduated from Chemistry Teaching and did a Master of Science. I teach GCSE and IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics from year 7 up to year 11 in all exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) for Combined or Triple. I also teach Cambridge IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I am very knowledgeable about the current curriculums and exam-style questions. I also teach ISEB (Independent Schools Examinations Board) Common Entrance Examinations at 11+ and 13+. I have a full DBS (CRB) check. I can organise the timetable to match students' availability and can travel to the student's house if it’s very close by. I prepare tests, quick quiz questions and homework. I check the areas where the students feel weakest and support in those fields. I organise a plan individually for every student depending on their needs and goals. I am enthusiastic and passionate about teaching my subjects. I am also a friendly and courageous tutor. I deliver my lessons via Zoom online. I have been teaching and tutoring for 18 years. I am also a science teacher at an independent school in London.

Nursen volunteered for the this site/UCL Chemistry Day 2018 aimed at A-Level students. Her range of duties on the day consisted of tutoring small groups of students during the Chemistry workshop and supporting the practical exercise in the laboratory.

Nursen was punctual, demonstrated patience and engaged learners throughout the workshops and lab sessions. We were very happy that Nursen was able to help out on the day.
