About Louise

Biology/Science Teacher with detailed understanding of SQA qualifications and examinations. Extensive previous experience tutoring and offering 1-2-1 support. Currently offering online sessions only but these have previously been with great success and results. I am very passionate and enthusiastic and love my job.

About the lesson

The subjects I would be able to assist with are Biology/Human Biology up to Advanced Higher level. My lessons would initially consist of communication to understand the areas of difficulty and set aims that together we would strive to achieve. During the lesson I would explain the area in detail and ask questions throughout to engage and challenge the student. At the end of each session I would overview the topic to consolidate and allow time for any feedback in ways I could adapt my assistance to the individual.

First of all, during our sessions whilst in progress of my higher biology course, Louise would explain difficult topics in a way that not only would make so much sense, but I would remember them for a very long time after, which really helped me in my studying. Also, Louise has a strong understanding of the higher/nat5 course, in which she was able to help me understand exactly what the SQA is looking for and what to look out for in my exams.
