About Sharlene

Support for students needing clarity often starts when I remember how a mentor rebuilt my own foundations from the ground up. I am a PhD candidate in Chemical Physics at Imperial College London who now focuses on those same principles for others. Nervous beginners comprise a big part of my week and I value that process immensely.

Repaying that early guidance drives my work today. Understanding one idea properly remains far more important to me than skimming through 5 topics in a rush.

My typical students find comfort in a steady and calm approach to complex systems like photosynthesis and respiration or mitosis and meiosis. Immunology basics and human anatomy are explored alongside DNA and RNA structure. Plant biology plus protein synthesis or evolution and natural selection and cell biology are taught with 10.0 intensity levels of focus.

About the lesson

Focusing on the depth of understanding allows for concepts to stick rather than fleeting memory work. Learning rarely happens in isolation so I ensure that everything gets practised in context during our time together.

My 9 years of teaching experience informs the way we handle these technical hurdles. We navigate the nuances of biological functions through deliberate and thoughtful study sessions.
