About Nicholas
I am a current HPU student majoring in biology. I have 4 years of intern experince at the Hawaii Agriculture Research Center (HARC) and Seeds4Tomorrow (a agriculture based learning camp). I can tutor for highschool and/or AP level biology and/or environmental science. I have tutored highschool students for ~1 year now and have founded a STEM club at my alma mater, JCHS. I have a passion for biology and environmental science and would love to share it.

I will ask for the student's past and future homework/exams to assess for areas of need. Then I will talk directly with the student and ask what specific areas they feel they are struggling in. From there I can begin helping them understand the content. I can break down the content to understandable bits or provide other example/analogies to help memorize foundational information.
I always enjoyed hands on demonstration/experiments in highschool. I believe that enjoying what you're doing makes learning easier. Free of charge and if time allows I am willing to conduct fun and content related activities. For example, if the student is in HS/AP biology they can have the opportunity to utilize a microscope to identify various micro-organisms. For example, if the student is in HS/AP environmental science they can have the opportunity to conduct basic soil analysis, amend the soil, and grow their own plants. I have a list activities that the student may choose from.
