About Drew
University Interests: During my second year at university, I was one of the 4 founding members of the first
Ecology and Conservation Society at M.M.U. (M.M.E.C.S.). This required me to source funding from both the
university and the students’ union, as well as organising travel arrangements for our field trips. As an
undergraduate, I acquired practical ecological surveying skills, as well as becoming adept at a range of
laboratory techniques required for the study of human and environmental genetics and physiology.

I can create a fun working environment for anyone studying biology at any level.
Previously, I held an animal handling workshop, using live animals to demonstrate the effects of climate change on our biotic environment in schools across Ireland.
While studying my Masters, as part of my literature review on soil response to climate change, I voluntarily assisted students and researchers within the ecology department, by preparing soil samples for microscopic analysis. I specialized
further in crop, soil and faunal interactions, by completing my dissertation, titled: ‘Analysing the Effects of Two
Opposing Climatic Extremes on Nematode Populations Following Soil Recovery’.
During this time, I was regularly posting articles to the, universities blog. I have accreditation in the use of Geographic Information
Systems, (G.I.S. and arcG.I.S.), for generating and analysing geographic datasets.
I was employed by the Queen's university at this time, to travel to Devon England and transmit evidence of soil resistance to weather perturbations as a result of climate change, for a duration of 10 months. This job was a collaboration between Q.U.B., Manchester University and Aberdeen University.
My lessons are as long as you need; speak concisely and clearly, I will guarantee your grades will improve.
