About Imogen
Hi! I'm Imogen, a Ph.D. candidate at King's College London, specialising in the genetics of disease and new therapies. During the day, I work in the lab, doing cutting-edge research to try and figure out a new possible therapy for a rare and sometimes fatal disease.
I have a Masters in Translational Biomedical research, and use maths in my day to day research from statistics, to graphs, to bio-informatics. When I was a teenager, I used to represent my school at the national and international level in mathematics competitions, and I bring my enthusiasm about maths to my tutoring session. I have experience tutoring maths GCSE with other students as well and would be excited to help you with yourmaths journey too!

My maths tutoring sessions are aimed at students all the way up to Higher award GCSE/iGCSE to help improve maths understanding and preparing for exams. These are tailored to the needs of the student, whether that is support with homework, reviewing classroom material, or practicing exam questions. All this helps prepare students for exams to secure the grades they need.
My previous experience tutoring at university level equipped me with a range of tools to help tackle complex topics and practice problem solving. By using a framework for how to approach questions and how to check your own answers, students will develop the skills to answer exam questions while limiting mistakes.
Finally, exam time can be an incredibly stressful and anxiety-inducing time, so my approach emphasises exam preparation so that students can enter the exam room with confidence.
