About Akinwole
I’m a First Class Microbiology graduate, and biology has genuinely been my greatest passion since secondary school, the minute workings of cells, genetics, human physiology, ecology, and microbiology still excite me as much now as they did back then.
My university training gave me a very strong, in-depth grasp of core biological concepts across microbiology, biochemistry, and genetics, exactly the foundation needed to teach both secondary school biology and introductory university-level biological science courses confidently.
I’ve been tutoring Biology one-on-one since my 300 level days, helping senior secondary students (WAEC, NECO, JAMB, IGCSE) as well as 100 and 200 level university students in biological sciences. I’ve worked with many who started off feeling overwhelmed by topics like Mendelian genetics, photosynthesis, ecological pyramids, enzyme kinetics, microbial growth curves, or human systems; through patient, clear explanations, well-labelled diagrams, real-life health and environmental examples, and plenty of past question practice, they’ve moved from confusion to confidence and strong results.
My teaching style is straightforward, structured, and focused on deep understanding rather than surface-level cramming. I explain concepts step by step, use visuals heavily, connect theory to everyday life and medical applications whenever it helps, and make sure students can explain things back in their own words before we move on. Lessons stay relaxed but purposeful — no unnecessary jargon, no talking down, just steady progress until the material feels clear and manageable.
Whether you’re a secondary school student preparing for external exams, a science-inclined student who wants to really master biology, or a university student needing solid support in your biological science courses up to 200 level, I’m here to help you understand the subject properly and perform at your best.
I look forward to working with you.

These lessons are for anyone studying biological sciences, from senior secondary school (SS1–SS3 preparing for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, or IGCSE) right up to 100 and 200 level university courses in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or general Biological Sciences.
I teach with a focus on real understanding rather than just memorizing facts for exams. My approach is patient, visual, and very example-driven: I break down complex topics into clear, logical steps, use plenty of well-labelled diagrams, relate concepts to everyday life, health issues, environmental examples, and medical applications whenever it makes sense, this helps the information stick better and feel more relevant.
Typical lesson length is 60 minutes (focused and productive). Every session includes:
1. Clear explanation of the concept
2. Visual aids and diagrams (I draw a lot!)
3. Worked examples and real-life connections
4. Practice with past questions (WAEC/NECO/JAMB/IGCSE style for secondary; university past papers or similar for higher levels)
5. Time for you to ask questions and explain things back in your own words
I have been tutoring Biology one-on-one since my 300 level university days, so I’m familiar with both the secondary school syllabus and the foundational university courses in biological sciences. Many of my students started feeling overwhelmed or confused by topics like genetics (Punnett squares, epistasis, mutations), ecology (food webs, succession, population dynamics), physiology (homeostasis, nervous/endocrine systems), microbiology (growth curves, microbial control), biochemistry (enzymes, metabolic pathways), or photosynthesis/respiration — and through consistent, clear sessions, they gained confidence, improved dramatically in understanding, and saw better exam results.
This is perfect for you if:
1. You’re a secondary school student who wants strong mastery for external exams
2. You’re a science-inclined student who enjoys biology but needs clearer explanations
3. You’re a university student (100/200 level) looking for solid support in your biological science courses
