About Mollie
I enjoy talking about science all day and I enjoy helping people and seeing a difference in their marks and understanding. I take pride in my work.
I want to be a secondary teacher because teaching science is fun, but I also want to help children feel confident in their skills and future.
Through family, I have experience of homelessness and addiction. I want to use these skills to support teens in their growth into healthy happy adults.

I am finishing my biochemistry degree in November this year. My minors are chemistry and biology.
I have completed a course through uni that included a 70-hour internship shadowing a teacher at Te Aratai College. In this time I made lesson slides, ran a lab, and taught microbiology to a year 9 class.
I also have 6 months experience private tutoring year 12 chemistry, and university 100 level biology and biochemistry.
I usually tutor at Hornby library, but I can meet at any library or either of our houses.

Before my tutoring with mollie I had a very basic understanding of chemistry from high school and was finding uni chemistry and biochemistry challenging. But after a couple tutoring sessions she identified the exact concepts I needed to learn and conveyed the concepts in an easy to learn way, thanks to her I passed my biochem and chemistry papers.
Mollie is an excellent tutor. She helped me achieve a better understanding of the core concepts of biology that I couldn’t seem to get a grasp of. Thanks for helping me pass my test!
