About Giovanni

I'm Giovanni, from ESCP Business School, a degree where students move to a different city each academic year.. Learning in such a diverse setting, being surrounded by students who commonly speak three or more languages, I understood how critical languages have become to our world today. From this experience, I learned that speaking a language is not just about communication, but also learning to open the door to new cultures, points of view, and chances. This is why I would like to teach Italian. Through teaching my home language, I am able to pass on to others the chance to engage with Italian culture and experience the same sense of curiosity and education that I felt being immersed among people from all walks of life. Teaching Italian is my chance to give back: to help students discover the value of multilingualism and encourage them to utilise language as a tool to engage with the world.

About the lesson

Ciao! I'm Giovanni, a native speaker from Milan. I have the opportunity to teach Italian in a natural and practical manner: less school-ish, more life-ish. My classes are usually one hour and always include speaking practice, because learning by use is the most effective way. Instead of following a rigid programme, I tailor lessons to what you need whether that's exam prep, travel conversation practice, or Italian culture and idioms. I find it fun to use stories, real-life scenarios, and cultural texts (films, music, articles) to make it interesting and applicable to daily life. I have taught beginners as well as advanced learners, ranging from teenagers to working professionals, and enjoy seeing students become more confident with each lesson. My goal is simple: to make Italian a part of your life so that you find it entertaining and useful and not just a school topic. Looking forward to working together!
