About Claire
I am from Scotland but started learning Spanish as a child due to Spanish family. I completed Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher at school with top marks, and have tutored high school students so am familiar with the Scottish curriculum. I then studied a Master's degree in International Business & Spanish, during which time I spent a year studying at the University of Salamanca in Spain. I have worked in English and Spanish in international companies in New York, Madrid, London and Scotland for the last 6 years, so can also teach Spanish for business. I am specialised in Spanish from Spain, but I have Argentinian family and have spent time in Chile and Cuba, so can teach you some regional differences in Spanish. I have a Teaching qualification and a Teaching Young Learners certificate.

I am totally passionate about Spanish and will make sure you are too! Nowadays, there's no need to use boring textbooks with so much interesting material in the world. I want to find out your hobbies and interests and then use that to learn. Whether it's through song lyrics, interviews with footballers, news articles or videos about the world of business, we can find something to suit you to keep your interest up. Whilst I am disciplined and thorough, I'm a big advocate for getting my students speaking and create a friendly atmosphere to ensure their confidence.
