About Micaela

I'm Micaela, a native Spanish speaker from Argentina with a TEFL/TESOL certification (120 hours, Bridge Institute) and a C2-level English certification (EF SET), which means I understand both languages at a deep, practical level — not just as a native speaker, but as someone formally trained to teach.

Beyond teaching, I've spent over three years working professionally in bilingual, detail-oriented roles for U.S.-based companies, handling everything from financial operations to written communication in both English and Spanish. That background has sharpened my ability to explain things clearly, stay organized, and adapt to what each person actually needs — skills that carry directly into how I teach.

About the lesson

My approach is conversation-first: grammar matters, but it should support real communication, not replace it. I build each lesson around what you actually need Spanish for — travel, work, family, or moving to a Spanish-speaking country — rather than following a generic textbook from start to finish.

A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up in Spanish to get you speaking right away, moves into a focused topic (a grammar point, vocabulary set, or situational practice like ordering food or handling a phone call), and ends with open conversation practice so you leave having actually used what you learned, not just heard about it.

What sets me apart is combining native fluency with structured pedagogical training and a genuinely bilingual mindset — I know exactly where English speakers tend to get stuck, because I've spent years working professionally in English myself.

My lessons work well for beginners building a foundation, intermediate learners who understand grammar but freeze up in real conversation, and anyone preparing for a specific goal, like relocating, traveling, or working with Spanish-speaking clients or colleagues.
