About Laura
I was born and grew up in Spain. I am bilingual and can speak English, Spanish and B1 level French. Apart from teaching languages, I can also teach drawing and painting. I am a student at Central Saint Martins and have a long history of classical training in the arts.
I taught English to GCSE students in Spain at the London Calling Academy in Cádiz.
I also lead pronunciation classes to Adults at the same academy.
Having studied a Spanish Baccalaureate, I studied and achieved perfect grades in all of my subjects. These including Contemporary History, Philosophy, Literature, History of Art, Drawing and Design, amongst others. I am comfortable teaching children in GSCEs in these subjects.

My teaching method is based on empathy and understanding. I hope to create a learning environment based on positive feedback and academic progress.
I once struggled in school because I was in a harsh and strict academic environment. Later on, I moved to another school that promoted creativity and empathy within an environment that pushed the students to succeed academically. This new environment made me go from being a bad student to being the first student in the history of my school to achieve a Distinction with Honors and a University Scholarship in my subject. I believe that the environment that a student's in, and the approach to learning they experience can greatly affect the results in a students academic career.
