About Henry
I am an enthusiastic Spanish tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a genuine passion for helping High School and College students succeed. Throughout my teaching career, I have successfully guided around 150 students toward stronger language skills and greater confidence.
My teaching philosophy is based on creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring the language without fear of making mistakes.
My lessons focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through interactive and practical activities. I use discussions, role-playing, real-life examples, and regular revision to make learning enjoyable and effective. Every lesson is carefully adapted to meet the student's learning needs and academic objectives.
One of my greatest achievements has been helping students improve their classroom performance while developing confidence in speaking Spanish. Their success demonstrates that patience, encouragement, and consistent practice lead to lasting results.
I believe learning Spanish should be an exciting experience that builds communication skills and cultural understanding. My goal is to inspire every student to enjoy the language while preparing them for academic success and future opportunities.

My teaching approach combines creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability to create engaging Spanish lessons that inspire confidence and continuous improvement. I believe language learning should be practical, enjoyable, and focused on helping students communicate naturally.
Every lesson is designed around the student's learning needs and future goals. I use conversations, storytelling, games, role plays, videos, authentic reading materials, pronunciation exercises, listening practice, and writing activities to create balanced lessons that strengthen every language skill.
Critical thinking is encouraged through grammar discovery, vocabulary exploration, sentence-building exercises, and communication activities. Students gradually understand how the language works and learn to express themselves confidently in Spanish instead of depending only on memorization.
As a mentor, I provide personalized guidance, patience, and encouragement throughout the learning journey. I support students in overcoming challenges while helping them become independent learners.
Accountability is maintained through clear learning objectives, regular revision, structured assignments, progress monitoring, and constructive feedback. These methods encourage students to remain consistent and celebrate every improvement.
Besides Spanish, I teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary development, conversation practice, reading comprehension, writing, listening skills, travel Spanish, beginner Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture. My goal is to prepare students for confident communication in academic, professional, and everyday situations.
