About Serena
Hi! I’m a composer, producer, and Berklee College of Music graduate with a degree in Film and Media Scoring. My artistic identity is shaped by a truly global upbringing across Dubai, Singapore, India, and Boston, which taught me to blend the rich, emotional storytelling of Bollywood and Hollywood orchestration with the high-energy production of EDM, Hip-Hop, and World Music. Whether you want to write sweeping cinematic themes, produce hard-hitting electronic tracks, or master the technical side of mixing, I am here to help you bridge traditional musicianship with modern technology to find your unique creative voice.
In our lessons, we can explore everything from the fundamentals of music production and mastering your DAW to the intricacies of film scoring and hybrid orchestration. I specialize in teaching how to compose music that elevates visual narratives, blends traditional orchestral instruments with cutting-edge synths, and finishes tracks with professional recording, mixing, and mastering techniques. Music is supposed to be fun at the end of the day, which is why my lessons are entirely student-centered and low-pressure. I welcome beginners to intermediate students of all ages and academic backgrounds, and what truly sets me apart is my empathy for different learning styles. I will gladly customize a personalized lesson plan to ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible.
Together, we will take a step-by-step approach to mastering music by breaking down your favorite songs, exploring practical examples, and using the keyboard or guitar to make abstract concepts instantly tangible.
