About David
I'm David Woo, a second-year student at UC Berkeley. I'm currently majoring in Nutrition Science, diving deep into the fascinating world of food and health.
But beyond my studies, I've also had the opportunity to make a difference through tutoring.
My first language is Korean. Yet, I’ve spent numerous years trying to perfect my english skills and be dual lingual. And I’ve felt a sympathy for students who are learning english right now or will continue their english learning journey.
Back in high school, I've spent time on a website called Schoolhouse, where I've helped students tackle challenging math and English concepts.
It's been incredibly rewarding to see the progress and growth of the students I've worked with.
Balancing academics and tutoring has been a fulfilling challenge, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn and teach in equal measure.
I’ll always put 100% for young teens to develop their english skills and take this chance as another opportunity for my english skills to enhance.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you:)

Hi, my name is David Woo and I'm an uprising sophomore at UC Berkeley and a semi-professional soccer player. As a nutrition science major with a passion for teaching, my approach to tutoring is rooted in personalized learning, interactive lessons, and a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. I draw from my experience at Schoolhouse, where I tutored pre-calculus, geometry, and calculus AB, to create engaging and supportive learning environments, particularly for students who struggle with math. My method involves detailed explanations, real-world applications, and regular assessments to ensure comprehension and progress. I especially welcome international students, offering them additional support to overcome language barriers and adjust to the academic environment. My unique blend of empathy, multidisciplinary knowledge, and effective communication sets me apart, making math accessible and enjoyable for students.
