About Avinash
Hey there! I'm Avinash, and I'm excited to be your Computer Science tutor. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Electrical Engineer and Computer Science (EECS) and have been teaching students online how to code for over 7 years through comprehensive programming courses and YouTube videos.
During my time teaching online, I have instructed over 1 million students on Udemy how to code on concepts ranging from all things Python (basics, data visualization, web scraping, and automation, etc.) to SQL, Swift, iOS Development, Web Development and more. My teaching methods include a combination of lecture-style videos and interactive exercises, with a focus on making programming concepts approachable and digestible for students of all skill levels. I run a Python Projects platform called TheCodex and have over 70,000 subscribers to my content on YouTube.
I've also had the privilege of instructing as an undergraduate instructor at UC Berkeley, teaching our Algorithms class for several semesters. In this role, I developed and delivered course materials, provided individualized support to students, and graded assignments and exams. I also taught Cubstart, a Cal Hacks initiative that teaches iOS and web development to incoming freshmen and sophomores.
I'm proficient in most programming languages and have built over 40+ projects at hackathons and through iterations on my own startups. Whether you're just getting started or stuck learning a concept, I can't wait to be your tutor.
