Hi, I’m Mr Ben, a qualified primary teacher with over 13 years of classroom experience across EYFS and KS1. As both a teacher and a dad of three young readers, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges parents face when trying to help their child learn to read — confusion over sounds, inconsistent advice, and endless frustration.
That’s exactly why I started Phonics with Ben: to make phonics simple, joyful, and effective for every child and parent.
My Approach
At Phonics with Ben, we use a fun, structured, evidence-based method grounded in the latest reading research and my own classroom action research. Each session combines multi-sensory games, storytelling, and explicit phonics instruction to build confident, fluent readers who love reading.
