About Alena

I learned the hard way that teaching is less about speed and more about clarity. My pedagogical style is shaped by my degree from the Manhattan School of Music.

I frequently coach students who feel stuck and need a new map for their progress. My focus includes conversational fluency, idioms and expressions, and the nuance between Latin American vs Castilian variants.

We also touch upon cultural context and everyday phrases for beginners to get you speaking quickly. 463 students have joined my classes to date. What specific language goals are you trying to reach right now?

About the lesson

Transparency is my primary teaching philosophy. I show my thinking out loud during our sessions to help you avoid common mistakes. You will receive recorded listening drills for daily practice to ensure consistent improvement. I keep things direct so you always know exactly where you stand.

My background in vocal studies allows me to explain pronunciation with precision. It is truly enjoyable to see you start to speak with authentic confidence.
